Research at the Institute of Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior

We stand for theoretically sound, methodologically diverse, practice-oriented, and internationally oriented research. Our research projects aim to contribute to a better understanding of current organizational and management problems, with a particular focus on analyzing the role, contribution, and underlying perception and interaction processes of employees. We do not focus solely on commercial enterprises, but also regularly conduct research in other contexts (e.g., public and nonprofit organizations).

The following topics are currently the focus of our research activities:

  • Strategic human resource management
  • New forms of work, collaboration, and leadership (new work)
  • Organizational identity and identification
  • Organizational learning, innovation, and cooperation processes
